Does anyone have the two-disc Italian edition of LAST TANGO IN PARIS (ULTIMO TANGO A PARIGI) ? If so, do the extra features have english subtitles ? And what are the extras like ?

Any help would be appreciated as I have a friend going to Italy soon, and I'm wondering whether it's worth picking up.

    Thanks. [IMG]

In case I'm not too late: no English subs on either disc.

You are too late. But I didn't go for it anyway. Thanks Kai.[IMG] Do you have it ? Is it any good ? I'm really hoping we'll see a special edition of this now Sony own MGM.

    Sorry about that, Anthony.

Yes, I have the 2-disc "Edizione speciale" from CDE of Italy. The first disc contains the film which sports pretty nice anamorphic PQ despite some EE, both the mono mix and a DD5.1 remix of the original soundtrack, as well as an Italian dub in both mixes. The film has only Italian subtitles; as you know, a lot of the dialogue is in French.

About an hour's worth of talking-head featurettes (the longest one is 44 min & features film clips) in Italian, without any subtitles, can be found on the second disc.
