I just finished watching "I Spy" and every time subtitles appeared for the non-english speaking parts it would engage all subtitles. Three separate times I had to stop and go into the menu to disable subtitles after this happened. Anyone else?

Again, I don't knowingly buy discs that do this. They have to have the original burned-in subtitles or else I pass on it.

    No problems with my Sony.
There was a thread here a few days ago about similar problems with xXx which is another Sony title with player generated subs rather than burnt in. Seems it was a problem with some makes of player.

My JVC-502SL has the same problem. Several times throughout the movie the subtitles would turn on and then stay on when the language spoken returned to English. I had to turn them off each time from the remote. Rather annoying.
