the adaption of Roland Huntford's book dramatizing the race to the South Pole between Robert Scott and Roald Amundson?

I saw it originally on PBS, and have a snowy VHS copy of the series, but just looking for any info on the DVD set. I know as far as content, it's worth a pickup.

I have it and have watched it. After the first 2 hours. It is compelling viewing. Like most early BFS, product, picture quality is on the level of vhs. I would doubt if we would ever get a upgraded version in the near future.

I have it, too. It contains quite a bit of footage that never made it to PBS' broadcast version. All of said footage is in the lead-up to the expedition, concentrated in parts 1 and 2. The picture quality is serviceable, though there are a few annoying glitches here and there.
