I was thinking of getting the JBL NSP-1 5-Piece Northridge Series Home Theater Speaker System and the JBL 12" 250 Watt Powered Subwoofer. I was wondering if anyone had it and what their impression of it is. I was planning to go listen to them this week, so any help is appreciated.

Yeah, I have them! I think they sound great with my Onkyo 600. I searched the forum for other opinions of these speakers before I purchased them and most people think they are a good value for the sound quality.

Christopher_H, where did you get them and how much? Was it an online retailer or store like best buy? Thanks.

I've had the NSP-1 system for about a year now ($300 from J&R with free shipping at the time). I'm using them with an Onkyo TX-DS595 and the Sony 12" subwoofer that everyone and their mother gets if they want a sub for $200 (can't remember the model number off the top of my head).

I've enjoyed every minute of the time I've used them. They're well worth the price if I do say so myself. They are definately better when paired with a sub though. My first upgrade at this point would probably be the center channel, as I feel it sounds a bit tinny on some dialog, but it's definately nothing distracting, just something I've started hearing as I've grown more accustomed to them I suppose. They're great speakers though.
