I will go to an E3 one of these days, but I just can't justify it right now because of work. Being an adult sometimes has it's disadvantages. If anyone is going, independent updates here wouldn't be a bad idea .

I've been before, but not this year. While I thought it was a little overhyped, I'd like to go again someday.

Was going to go, but I couldn't find anyone else who was willing to share a hotel room, etc. with so I decided to just sit this one out. I will try again next year, hey Michael how about trying to team up next year?

Stupid question--I thought E3 was industry-only? I know Camp and Brian are in the industry, but are the rest of you also? Am I the only civilian on this board?
I'm jealous...I wanna go too!

It is supposed to be industry only, but all you really need to do is pretent to be some tiny basement developer who is trying to network and they'll let you in; from what I hear.

Apparently it's been a /little/ tougher to get passes this year - a few homebrew devguys I know aren't going this year because of this - but I can't imagine it'd be /that/ hard all things considered.

Media credentials are the best, easier to get into private booths, free food, parties, yadda yadda yadda. I do think media credentials are a lot harder than they used to be.

Dave - I'm certainly not "in the industry". I'm just a guy with a toy store.
However, I did get my E3 registration (a media pass rather than a retailer pass ) but won't be going. I want a job where I have to go!
