Oft-quoted factoids (source: several hundred internet sites post these statistics):

The average chocolate bar has 8 insects' legs in it.

The average human eats 8 spiders in their lifetime at night.


And my personal favorite: the easiest way to catch a pesky, flying insect is to eat it (no kidding).

An old buddy of mine used to ask us to trap wasps so he could take thier stingger out and eat them. I thought he was nuts until I actually saw him do it.

Oh, sure, back in the day, I spent many weeks in an intensive survival camp. I've had a variety of bugga, and have since blocked most of those memories.

What I do remember, however, is that large black ants are sour tasting (like lemon drops), and daddy-long-legs taste a bit like cinammon. Not real cinammon, but the artificial stuff they use in candies.

Never tried cooked bugga...and I won't be trying any stir fried crickets EVER!!
