I've been going through the Konquest Mode and I'm having a hard time doing the combos where you have to switch fighting styles in the middle of the combo. What do the makers of the game think some who play game are, octopuses? It can be a real pain in the ass, especially when you get frustrated and try to go too fast.

This is the only solution I can come up with:
Buy Soul Calibur 2, VF 4E, or guilty gear xx and all will be well.

    Stephen,
In general... is the game worthy of $19.99 purchase?
I've always been a fan of MK... since the first one.
But the crazy combos wore me out....

    The game looks like fun.
    Is it worth it?

I used to have this game and it is worth a 20 dollar purchase, but not worth 50. Each character only has 1 combo and the single player mode is lacking because most of the Krypt items are very very generic.

I think it's worth a 20 dollar purchase. I'm only going through thre Konquest mode to help up my coins to get the locked characters. I find it to be a very fun game, the best in the series to me, but I hate the combos. They are definitely a pain in the ass to learn and do.

    It's worth 20 bucks.

Personally I bought it when it came out at full retail and enjoyed it a lot for about a month, but then unlocking stuff got boring...the game lost its touch. Traded it in.

20 bucks is worth it though if you're a MK fan, IMO.

I agree, some of the combo's make you wanna throw your controller at the TV!
If you keep trying, you'll get it eventually, its all about timing and sequence.

If all you want is a new MK game, sure, it may be worth $20. The Krypt is a valiant effort at replayability. But if you want a good fighting game, get Soul Calibur 2. Weapon Master mode is comparable to The Krypt, with more useful rewards IMO.
