Anyone else get 5 free iTunes for signing up with a PayPal account? (1 Viewer)

Well i just did. well actually yesterday, i signed up for an iTunes account and attached my PayPal account to it. I was credited with 5 free songs, without even having to make a purchase before hand. This was a surpise to me, because i didnt see anywhere on the site that this was part of the deal...i dunno, maybe everyone gets free songs for getting an iTunes account, regardless of payment type????

No. I signed up recently, using a credit card to secure the account. I received no free downloads. Congrats on the small, but nice, bonus.

Apple recently worked out an agreement with PayPal so that PP would be acceptable to use to pay for iTMS downloads. As a bonus to entice PayPal users to being using iTMS, Apple is offering five free songs to people who start a new account with PayPal. Old accounts that switch to PP or new accounts started with a credit card are not eligible.
