I'm looking for a site that you can pay a few dollars to run a
VIN#.. To want to see the history on one. I found one on EBAY.
I know sounds weird to do. Anybody bought a car/truck on Ebay

I'm Looking for Chevy Z71 Ex Cab 1999 2000 2001.

And that story is a bit weird, and has nothing to do what the OP asked..

I admit that I haven't used eBay a lot the past 2-3 yrs, but I used to visit it fairly frequently and I never spend more then I want to on a product, so it doesn't matter to me if the seller is bidding on his own product, or if they just use a higher original price. Not having read the whole story, what is the advantage to upping a bid instead of just making a higher original price? The only thing I can think of is it's a cheaper initial cost for the seller.

It implies that this kind of bidding gets the bid up or started. Someobody wants something and like you say may have a price they will stop at.. This can get you to your spot. Some folks want someting BAD they will bid bid bid...A sucker bidder keeps them bidding.. It can back fire

Thanks I will try carfax.com
