anybody ever heard of digital audio speakers?

    I'm just wondering because a friend of mine just bought some speakers from some guy and I've never heard of it?

    All the same.. Not a real "scam" per-se but the sellers
    who usualy sell by van and have a deceptive sales tactics.

    Wow I didn't know how big this scam was, I went to audioreview.com and looked under all three names, the only one that appeard was acoustic 9901. I didn't realize how big this was, These white van guys are everywhere, one guy even reported that they were in Malaysia.
    I'm not gonna like telling my friend that he got scammed but he has to know. Some people were saying that you can get some decent sound out of them if you hook up an EQ and have atleast 100Watts running them. What do you guyz think, I told him to let me pick a receiver for him since he doesn't have one yet, I'm gonna get the Onkyo 595, do you think I should try to work with those peices of crap or convince him to get some different speakers.
