I just got my copy this week. Haven't had a chance to watch it yet. I love this movie, actually all cheesy B/W sci fi/horror movies. This one actually holds up pretty well. I like this one better than Tim Burtons version.

I have it standing on its side, face forward, on my shelf right now. And this little gem is not strictly "cheesy," but an early effort at a very tentative genre. It's fun to watch, but also fun to watch as a period piece. The film never fails to entertain.

And Ray Harryhausen's superb stop-frame animation effects are a marvel to behold. Fascinating to watch.

The Tim Burton film is not a remake, but a parody based on an old series of bubblegum trading cards.

I would have, but Best Buy doesn't see fit to carry stuff people actually want. Instead they had two copies of Earth vs. the Spider (2001). Blech.

Truly one of the best 50's Sci-fi films, script-wise.

I think it holds up remarkably well.

Just sampled a few spots last night, and the transfer looks SUPERB!

    Cheers
