I just watched the trailer for this movie and it looks pretty good. I know a lot of people did not like the first one and a lot of you are going to say that you could not be paid to see the second one. But I really liked the first one and am excited about the second one. I wish the original cast was in the second one though. Especially Vin and Michelle Rodriguez. I know the cars are a little out of hand with all the graphics and neon glow but I can look past that and the plot in the first one was ludacrous. Pun intended. But it was also very entertaining at the same time. The second one seems that it is going to deliver on more action, more stunts, more racing, more cars, a wider variety of cars and a lot of eye candy for both women and men. Also with John Singleton as the director, maybe the plot will be a little more interesting this time. Anyway I can't wait for June 6. I can't wait for the summer period. It is going to be a BIG summer.

I think it looks pretty cool, Jeff. The first one was a good guilty pleasure, and I hope the second one just delivers more of the first. I don't really mind the cast changes since characters, plot, etc. are just an excuse to have car chases, explosions, etc. [IMG]

I agree with you Eric. I just want the second one to deliver more on what the first one did. It is a very guilty pleasure. I have watched the first one over and over again and enjoy it every single time.

My wife was hoping it would be called "The Swift and the Angry". She loves to make fun of people with "tricked out" cars claming that they must be rather swift and angry [IMG]

It'll probably be another wait for DVD for us like most films are.

It's a play on words. Fast = Swift and Furious = Angry
"The Fast and the Furious" - "The Swift and the Angry"

Maybe it's not as funny as I thought [IMG]

No, maybe I was just a little slow. It was a late night. But thanks for the explanation. I get it now. [IMG]

Yeah, I loved the first one. I'll give the sequel a chance on DVD, but without Diesel I seriously doubt this movie will deliver.

    The Rice and the Ridiculous.

I am somewhat excited to see this. I enjoyed the first one for what it was and have watched it several times. I am going to miss Vin but from the preview it looks like they took the car chases to another level. Loved the scene of the car getting smashed as it trys to drive under the semi.

The first one shoulda been a 7.5 minute movie...

Scene 1: Pack of Hondas tries to hijack 18 wheeler.

Scene 2: Driver (Mr. T woulda been great...) looks incredulously as the Hondas try to force him to stop.

Scene 3: Driver shoots stuntboy and proceeds to turn Hondas into grease slick scrap metal.

Scene 4: Deputy Farva shows up to write tickets for the remains of the Hondas.

    Meow.

    "The Dashing and the Disgruntled"

If you want to see the movie, hey, to each his own. But people who buy a ticket will have the lost the right to complain about "the year of sequels".

I'm excited... For the DVD. Just can't work up the energy to see it in theaters, though I'm sure it'll be a decent sequel.

I love the original film, however without Vin Diesal, Michelle Rodriguez, and Jordana Brewster I have my doubts about this one. I'm keeping an open mind though.

I like The Lickity Split and The Pissed.

Lame, I know, but you guys took all the good ones. [IMG]
