Anybody built a Tube Amp?? (1 Viewer)

Thinking of building a tube amp for something to do, pretty much settled on a 2A3 design and am wondering if anybody here has ever built one and what the cost was to do so. Thx in advance for any help.

Not audio amps,I have built some kits (ham radio stuff mostly) and some stuff from scratch.
Do you know how to solder? Not the blow torch kind. It is very tricky and until you 'master it' I would not try.
It looks so damn easy too!
Maybe buy a cheap kit and practice.
I cant solder worth a damn anymore; but the occasion when I do need a wire soldered. I use liquid flux. I find it really makes it easier. Also low heat !

Yes I do know how to Solder, I have a 3 year Electronics diploma under my belt so that's not a problem, I was looking at some kits but since I'm in Newfoundland Canada they aren't easy to come by.

I'd just guess he's busy or hasn't had as much time to talk about audio and such... he has posted occasionally to DIYaudio about tube amps, however.

Amps anytime soon! Speakers are bad enough.. I will leave
the Pro's build my amps
