Any xbox owners using a samsung dynaflat 32 inch hdtv with their xbox? (1 Viewer)

Can the component input on these two sets (3294hf and 3295hf)automatically detect if the signal is 480i or 480p?

I will be using the component on one of these two sets with my xbox which will display dvd's in 480i and games in 480p and was hoping it would automatically be able to detect what signal it is. Tried emailing Samsung with no response yet. I know the dashboard is 480i as well.

You still havent picked up the TV yet?? I have seen countless posts by you debating which set to buy, over the course of a few months. Pick one already

I know. I am sure it looks bad. I am planning for a house that I am going to buy in the fall so I have some time before I buy still. The problem is I dont have a tv at all right now and am really wanting to watch some dvd's and play some xbox. I have all my HT equipment decided on except the tube. I am almost considering just getting a cheap tv set (real cheap) for the time being just to tide me over until I am in my new place. I dont want to get a nice, big, heavy set now and have to move it in 4-5 months if I can help it. I should have waited till I moved in to my new place to get all wraped up in this but I dont have any control over my obsession now! I started doing a little research a while back and got totally obsessed!

I appreciate all of you guys being patient with my countless posts and I promise a decision will be made soon and I will quit posting all these nit picky questions! I just hate suprises that pop up when getting something new so more research now also means less chance of dissapointing surprises and more chance of pride of ownership. But again, thanks for the help!
