I was staring at the poster for the Animals album in my dorm before dawn, and I am really itching to see a release for the stellar live shows that are on tape. So, any word?

In fact, Pulse was supposed to be put out on DVD quite some time ago. My wife was all psyched for it. Then...it was either delayed indefinately or outright cancelled. I forget which.
There was no living with the woman for a couple of days! Whew!
I'm glad Queen just came out. She loves it. She'd still take Pulse, though...

The Pulse LaserDisc sounds really quite lovely. Looks pretty good, too.

Pulse on LD is the only reason I've still got my laserdisc player! Bound to look even better on dvd, but I suppose I'll have to keep on dreaming.

Both LaserDiscs are stunning. The version of "Money" on "Delicate Sound Of Thunder" is one of the best live performances in my vast music collection (almost up there with "Indiscipline" from King Crimson Three of a Perfect Pair Live in Japan). I wouldn't hold my breath waiting, as catalog music video almost never gets released.

Off topic a bit, but for those who don't know, there is a Best of Pink Floyd CD coming out this week entitled "Echoes.'' It's a history of the band, so to speak. Unfortunately, the lineup of songs isn't chronological. What makes it interesting is that Roger Waters participated _ a bit _ in putting this CD together.
Waters' DVD of the In the Flesh tour should be coming very soon.
And as a person who saw "The Wall'' show live three times in 1980, no concert video could do justice.

I just hope that when Pulse comes to DVD, the concert will be presented in chronological order of the live show. Due to the need for side breaks on the laser, several songs were shuffled out of order so the flip came between songs, not in the middle of one.
My tape of the pay-per-view (the same show) is presewnted in a different order.
And yes, the LD still looks great and has a wonderful PCM soundtrack.
Also, and DVD should be done in 5.1 to recreate the Qaud experience of the live show.

I have Delicate Sound on LD, it's always great to watch over and over again.
I saw Pulse live in Oakland in '94. I can see why they had to re-arrange everything on the LD. The second half of the show started off with Shine on you crazy diamond from start to end on side 1 of wish you were here.
