Just wondering if anybody has heard anything about the next one. Obviously it probably is barely in the planning stages (if at all). My main question is will Pierce Brosnan want another three year wait? Any word on who may direct or write it. Nothing on ianfleming.org.

Pierce was asked if he wanted to come back during the filiming of DAD and he acceptied the invitation.

And ya, it is way too early to know anything else.

At this juncture, Bond 21 is pencilled in for a Q4 2004 release...but that may change, 'natch.

Well if the same Director and crew where on board as well, I think it would be a good move. I love DAD. It was awesome.

Well, there have been rumors about it being set in Australia, and it being based on Casino Royale, the only Fleming novel they havent touched yet. I doubt they are going to touch that book.

The CGI was pretty bad, but the stuff that was the best were things like the car chase on the ice and the sword-fighting (my personal favorite from the movie).

I hope they go for more down-to-earth action scenes for the next one and a less sci-fi story.

I'm glad Brosnan will do another one, the last 4 bonds have been the best and the only ones that exist for me, so I'm waiting for Part 5. :ignorant: [IMG]

Dean Kousoulas, you know it's been bothering me, but why do you have a VHS cover of Casino in your sig? And leeching bandwidth from reel.com?

That doesn't look like a VHS cover, with the DVD label in the lower left corner and all.

The CG was everything that was wrong with DAD. Remember when Bond films made histroy by actually performing many of the stunts for real?

With the exception of the surfing, the car chase through the ice palace, and the horrible effects during the finale, I thought DAD was one of the best Bonds ever. The story was one of the strongest in franchise history. The sword fight is one of my all time fav Bond scenes already. IMO, the worst Bond is You Only Live Twice. (My fav is OHMSS)I think Lee Tamahori shoud be invited back as director for the next installment.

I'm just a 'light' Bond fan, so can someone tell me if all of the books have been made into movies yet? I thought they were, but I'm not sure.

wow, i SERIOUSLY can not believe how many people liked this last bond movie, i thought is a disgrace to the 007 franchise, just like...whatever the last one was called with denise richards and sophie marceau.
I'm not trying to say that the bond franchise should be stopped, just try and make things a bit more realistic. You show us real pains, and we know what you are trying to tell us. you show us something that could never been done, there is no connection, so how are we supposed to feel.
it's not like Bond is supposed to be an average Joe, but he is supposed to have some human characteristics
