Has anyone heard anything as to when The Munsters season 2 will be coming out? The season 1 set was so awesome, I've just about worn it out on my player...I can't wait for season 2 to come out!

Me, too!

I had back surgery not long after I bought season one...it got me through MANY days of just "laying around"~!

This is a great show and it would be fun to be complete, and hopefully it will come soon but season 1 did not come out all that long ago. No news has been reported that I have seen, I hope we're not waiting until August as there is no good reason we should have to wait that long, but this is not all that long a wait at all. I'd be alright with something in the march timeframe if not a little bit sooner.

Well, hopefully they'd wait until all the required special features are placed onto Season 2 before they release that. :D :D :D

According to TV Shows on DVD.com Munsters s.2 is on the slate for around Halloween 2005...I'm hoping it turns out to be summer 2005...but excited none-the-less!

And I'm hoping that those extras that we were to see on that separate release will show up as well.

In case you haven't popped over to TVShowsondvd.com check out this awesome new newspiece.

In essence Bonnie Vent, who runs Butch Patrick's website, wants to know what we want to see on the s.2 release of the Munsters. She will forward it on to NBC Universal Home Video.

I hope that the suggestions that are listed on Butch's site from everyone are implemented...I realize not everything will but if we get some of them it would be awesome!

I'd like the Munsters house plans. I saw on one show that someone built the exact same house from watching the show...I'd at least like something like that. Perhaps a special on the people that bought the house.

Shouldn't we be hearing an announcement about the second season of the Munsters soon? I'm getting anxious to see what suggestions they used for the extras.

Thanks Art...I'm hoping that the part about the extras turns out to be false as I really want them!

*Herman's voice* Oh goody, goody, goody, goody, goody!!!

TVShowsonDVD.com just announced the release of the second season on October 25th.

Cool things (besides just the episodes) is that it's coming in a box shaped like Herman's head and there are extras listed as:

America's First Family of Fright
Fred Gwynne: More Than a Munster
Yvonne De Carlo: Gilded Lady
Al Lewis: Forever Grandpa

I believe those are the A&E Biography shows...that's sweet!

I'm so excited but, oh man, am I going to be poor that day not only with this but both versions of Bewitched (color and B&W) and the Bewitched movie.

Herman's Head. Get it? Ha, I kill me. Stunt packaging isn't always my favorite thing, but it could be cool. Besides, nothing's going to keep me away from 1313 Mockingbird Lane.

Especially When that Stunt Packaging adds $10 to the Price of the set S1 was $39 and Sam Nmber of Eps and it's $49. I wonder if I should wait seeing they repackaged the Galactica set, and that damn cylon head is still on my floor

Sorry, Dave - Everywhere I look says season 1's SRP was $59.95 (Amazon, DDD, and TVShowsOnDVD). And it had ZERO extras. Season 2 is going to have the extras that Image was going to put together as a single-disc release all its own. So Universal is producing gimmick packaging, licensing out some nice special features from A&E, and doing it for $10 less -- not more.

Finally some good news from the Universal TV on DVD front! Now if they'd only get moving on Leave it to Beaver season sets, release season 2 of Night Gallery (with special features included), and announce season 2 of American Dreams, I'd be happy with them.

What's interesting is that this will be a stand alone release unless there is some surprise. Normally Universal releases their films in sets of at least two similarly themed shows. For example, Quincy & Dragnet. Columbo, McCloud, and McMillan & Wife. Adam-12 & Emergency. Alfred Hitchcock and Kolchak.

I bought the original Battlestar Galactica Cylon head and love it. It sits on my mantle by itself and looks
very impressive. If only they could use more imaginasstive packaging on other sets.
