I wasn't really paying attention when these were announced, but after looking through the Mickey Mouse one, I'm wondering if anything was mentioned about more of these being produced? I like tins - why I don't know - but I also like that these have normal Alphas inside. Was Disney going to do batches of these each year?

I don't know much about these either. I did see a WDTC set featuring the Davy Crockett tv series at Best Buy. Looked pretty nice if you're interested.

Yes, there are currently 4 of them: Mickey Mouse in Living Color, Silly Symphonies, Davey Crockett, and Disneyland USA. I popped Davy Crockett in last night, and can only thank Leonard Maltin for the spoilers. Not...

    Jeff,

I have the Davy Crockett set, but haven't seen them in a loooong time. Are you saying that I should skip the Leonard Maltin intros?

    Jimmy!

After the first major one in the intro (I've never seen this show, or if I have it was decades ago), I'd be tempted to skip them until you've watched the show.

Thanks for the warning. My Davy Crockett and Disneyland USA set is currently at the local customs house, I'll probably pick them up this Friday.

I would indeed think that Disney has more of these super sets in the works...why else would that little 1925 - 2000 timeline graphic be included on the back of each tin?
And yes, those tins are a REALLY sleek design...makes me think of a time-capsule, rather than a plain old DVD! [IMG]

My Davy Crockett is on its way - thanks Jeff for the warning (I think I looked at the VHS more than 8 or 10 years ago, so I prefer it without spoilers).

And yes, I think this is a great series to collect (I already received MM and Disneyland, while DC and SS are coming to me). Hope there will be more!

Davy Crockett spoilers? Gosh, I sure hope The Alamo turns out well for him. [IMG]

It's been noted that Disney plans to release ALL of their cartoons to DVD through this DVD series.
