I rented this and as usual Blockbuster didn't bother to include an instruction booklet. Watching the recorded demos it seems like you can get a close up view with the bow or crossbow, but I don't know how to do it. Also, how do you fire more than one arrow at a time? I know this has been covered already, but here's my little mini-review anyway: Graphics - very nice, but not quite as nice as some of the raves led me to believe. Wall textures can be a little blurry, even in 16:9. I still like the look of the game though, don't get me wrong. Level design - very nice! Especially during the escort mission (the mission I'm currently on), even though it is all pretty linear the designers did a good job of making the locations believable. And I like how you can drop down into the canals or climb up on to the roofs if you want. Soundtrack - Wow! I think this is the best sounding Xbox game I've played. Excellent 5.1, with heavy bass, and the musical score is terrific! Reminds me of the Conan movie soundtrack. I swear I read a review that offered low marks for the score. Reminds me not to completely trust reviews. Controls - Took me a while to get the hang of them but now they're alright. Using the sword indoors sucks though because if you back up too close to a wall you suddenly turn invisible and it is impossible to see what you're doing ... for me anyway. Everything else makes up for that though. But .... Reviewers are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT about the frustration of not BEING ABLE TO SAVE! In the end this is going to stop me from buying the game because it just pisses me off too much. Being forced to re-play long levels, not because I want to, but simply because there is no in-game save system for most of the game is inexcusable. We're not talking NES here, video game technology has supposedly come a long way, right? Maybe they'll put in a save game system if there is a sequel, but if not, I'll sadly say goodbye forever to the world of Enclave once my five day rental is up.
