I am currently lookin to buy a HDTV, preferably 27", but am unsure at the moment. No stores around my area carry them, so any opinions or suggestions on one would be very helpful. Thanks

While I don't have the TV, I hear that Samsung makes a pretty good 27" HDTV (it's 4:3, though). I think I've seen it at Ultimate Electronics and Best Buy. Not sure if Sony or any other manufacturers make HDTV's under 34" (and the 34" I've seen is 16:9).

Fairly certain, Samsung offers the only 27" TV in the states that can do HDTV.

Zenith has a 27" HDTV too, but I think I would still go for the Samsung.

    Eugene,
Did you notice red push on the set? If so, did you correct it?

    Eugene,
Do you notice small circles and poor focus on the sides of the picture, as compared to the center, especially when using wide mode?

Frankly, I think I'd wait before purchasing a HDTV in this size. Manufacturers are concentrating on the bigger, more profitable, sets right now, but they'll have to address the smaller-screen-size market soon.
