I recently built some DIY belden canare cables. I am looking for the best way to color code them (red/blue/green/orange/white etc). I've tried colored canare boots, however they don't fit the techflex i have on the cable. Colored heatshrinks are nice. Are there any other alternative out there? thanks!

most hardware stores sell colored electrical tape. A single wrap around the crim collar would look pretty good, especially if cut to be the exact same width as the crimp collar.
