Other than MORROWIND, are there any Baldur's Gate-type games for XBox or PS2 ? I'd love to have a game console but these are the only kind of games I really enjoy. My PC is not up to snuff for most of the new RPG's in that format and I'd rather put money on a game console. Nothing beats gaming from the lazyboy. So, any suggestions??

Knights of the Old Republic could be baldur's gate like since BioWare is developing it, but I really have no idea about it.

At the moment, if you want RPGs on a console, go buy a PlayStation.

If you mean the PC version of Baldur's Gate, I think the best option is to wait until Knight of the Old Republic is available for Xbox later this year. Like the guy said, it's being done by Bioware, who did the Baldur's Gate series, and I can't of any other PC style RPG's available on consoles except for Morrowind.

Project Ego is coming out for XBox in the future too (fall?). What I've seen of previews for it looks good.

Thank you everyone. I was beginning to think I was on a bunch of ignore lists.

Sometimes it takes awhile. The HTF is most active during the work day. Give a post 24 hours before thinking no one will answer

    Blaine,
Drakkan: The Ancients' Gate for PS2 is a fantastic game IMO. While not nearly as massive as Morrowind, and primarily a third person title, it's a solid effort and IMO, well worth a purchase.

The only time I played any incarnation of FINAL FANTASY was on the old NES. I am out of touch. There have, obviously, been quantum leaps in game console technology since those early days. Incidentally, I also enjoyed the DRAGON WARRIOR series for the NES. I just started BALDUR'S GATE on the PC a week ago and I am enjoying it immensely. The only thing that's keeping me from an XBox right now is the unavailability of MORROWIND in my little town. After reading the threads about it, I'm sold.

Hmm, well then if you've just started Baldur's, the get Torment right away-it's much better.

If you like Dragon Warrior, there are excellent ports of Dragon warrior 1&2 (in one cart) and 3 for Game Boy, and DW7 for the Psx.

Only problem I have with DW7 so far is the camera-why couldn't they have just kept it 2d overhead?
