I was just wondering if anyone had any comments on the new Satriani CD... and was also wondering if there will be an SACD release as with his previous 2 albums?
I was going to post this but didnt have the chance, but this is a good thread to mention it in.: Last week Satch did a meet n greet/in store performance here in Sac. He played about 7 songs and did a signing. (It was so crowded we didnt stay). It was a cool show though!
Two years ago, when I bought Engines Of Creation simply because it was "available" on SACD (in two channel, at that), I first got acquainted with Satriani. I'm now utterly hooked. Lately, I barely listen to anything else.
Is There Love In Space? tells me that he's still at the top of his game, which, to me, means that he's just adding to the body of work created by the best ever guitarist.
It apparently was going to be a hybrid SA-CD but was turned into a CD release at the last minute. The CD has SACD titles for the tracks that read out in my SACD player's readout.
I think that Sat's new one is easily one of his best, but if you want to hear a guitar genius check out Bucketheads latest releases! There's nobody out there that sounds like BH!
