Anyone? Anywhere? I want to know if this is worth getting for my kids. Thanks in advance
The DVD's pretty nice. Not a great movie, but entertaining enough for an adult (me, that is), and the transfer is EXCELLENT! Sound's very good as well, but the disc skimps on extras. Some supplements appear, but not a ton - no commentary or anything substantial. Still, I'll recommend it - it's a fairly fun movie that looks and sounds terrific...
I've just posted a review with a number of screen shots.
Wasn't even considering this title until I remembered that it was one of three selections for best animated film Oscar. Plus, it's difficult finding highly rated films for children. I believe my Shrek dvd is wearing through (my nerves) after so many repeated viewings by my infant son. The folks over at DVDFile seemed to love it. Hope to hear from other members to determine if this is a buy or rent.
there is also a review up at www.ign.com And its actually free
We posted our review this past Thursday. Hope that helps.
I'm waiting until it comes on PPV. If it's any good, then it's off to Blockbuster to get a used copy for $14.99.
Actually, I thought it was funny as heck. I don't have kids, but I'll probably be buying this one as well. Very cute parts, and the kind of humor that kids will enjoy, as well as several things that are just plain "Cool" for adults. I'd be suprised if your kids haven't seen this one somewhere along the line(both of the boys I saw it with the other day had seen it at camp, or school, or something. I'd get it for them. Robyn
