Has anybody gotten Twilight Time's discs for HELLO FRISCO, HELLO or MOTHER WORE TIGHTS as yet? They were supposedly released in mid June but I haven't yet seen any online reviews anywhere. They're currently on sale at the Twilight Time website so I'll likely pick them up regardless but I was just curious as to how they look.

    Anyone?

    Thanks!

I watched my copy of Mother Wore Tights last night. It looked good

Some of the blacks didn’t have as much detail (I assume because of the missing original elements from Fox).

The colors were more vibrant the the Vault DVD.

It was a worthwhile upgrade for me

I briefly scanned both this weekend. MOTHER WORE TIGHTS looked as good as you could expect from this period at Fox these days. HELLO FRISCO HELLO looks like it was a generation or two further removed from the negative with slightly less sharpness and more saturated colors. And it has the most severe case of windowboxing I have ever seen during the credits. Clearly an older transfer, but still worth getting.

That's good to hear. Any comments about Pin-Up Girl yet?

Sorry guys, ignore this. Due to business travel and life events I've been on hiatus from HTF and just saw Matt's review. Was hoping for better news regarding the transfer because Pin-Up Girl is one of my guilty pleasure titles. I love the opening number, You're My Little Pin-Up Girl with Grable and The Condos Brothers and the song Once Too Often which was a minor hit for Ella Fitzgerald that year.

Yes, for me of those three June Twilight Time/Fox musicals, Pin Up Girl looked the puniest by a wide margin.
