Parents are getting older and the 25 inch television is getting harder to see. They are not much on technology but would like a bigger television. Will be used mostly for basic cable and some movies. Any suggestions??

there really aren't many 4/3 non-HDready rptvs out there any more, and for technophobes HD-ready is gonna be a pain.

There are any number of decent 36" direct-view non-hd sets available for under 1k. That size in reality will look huge compared to the old 25 incher and won't present them with any technical challenges.
