Our new room which will be used for HT & Music listening will have a 9'0" ceiling versus the rest of the house which has standard 8' ceilings. I was just wondering if I should be doing anything during construction and how this new room's extra "headroom" will affect sound quality. [IMG]

An extra foot isn't really going to affect your sound.
If the ceilings were vaulted or made of some "different" material, that might be a problem, but just an extra foot of head room....that's going to add some cubic footage to the room and probably cause you to have to run your volume a big higher to achieve a preferred listening level, but I don't think it's something you have to "plan" for.
    How's that for a run-on sentence?
