Curious, Halloween is creeping up, and I would like to check out a few movies that are like/or play like "The Others"
Any suggestions???

I'd like to suggest the original version of The Haunting, but this may not be to your tastes. Unfortunately, no DVD available at this moment. I happen to catch it on Turner Classic Movies and I'm sure they will be running again as Halloween approaches.

JohnS, you wanna see a real chiller? Seek out George C. Scott's The Changling! Very spooky stuff!

Warner Bros. is officially dead to me.
Don't Look Now (1973 - Nicolas Roeg), starring Donald Sutherland & Julie Christie.
The Innocents (1961 - Jack Clayton), starring Deborah Kerr & Michael Redgrave. The Uninvited (1944 - Lewis Allen), starring Ray Milland & Ruth Hussey. Ghost Story (1981 - John Irvin), starring Fred Astaire, Douglas Fairbanks Jr., John Houseman & Melvin Douglas. [Edited last by Holden Pike on August 24, 2001 at 12:20 AM]
Thank-you for the other recommendations..I will have to check out all of them when I get back from L.A.
Would the upcoming DVD..13 Ghosts count as well??

13 Ghosts is fun, but it feels more "cheapie" than "creepy". It does not take itself too seriously and does not go for the "atmosphere" of the other films mentioned in this thread. Pretty much par for the course for a typical William Castle flick.
