Here's how I look at it:

1. Its ~ $ 1200 for a 23" TV. A 32" Tube is way cheaper then.

2. It has no DVI/HDMI Input. Bad news if you ever plan to hook up an HD DVD/Blu Ray Player to it.

3. It costs about $300 less than my 55" CRT set so the value is not there at all. It's cute though.

FWIW, Dell has a 1600x1200 LCD monitor for a computer coming out that is $1199 or $1299. you could then receive signals if you bought a TV Card for your PC. Another option is all.

If its a primary display that you don't want to deal with a computer, then I think you should rethink the purchase and go with either a 32" CRT for a few hundred less with HDMi/DVI HDCP input or save up a few more hundred and figure out a way to squeeze in a 51" Sony/Hitachi/Toshiba/Mitsubishi CRT.

The screen size difference will more than make up for the size. At worse case, you'd have a few hundred in your pocket more and 50% more screen size.

I was thinking of this for my L-DESK so I can watch TV or play xbox/ps2 at my computer desk.

My main tv is a 42" sony.

The Dell is going to be a 24". AFAIK, It will be 1600x1200 and HDCP/DVI compatible however I don't think it has a tuner.

Since this is going to be a 2ndary set, it still quite expensive for what it is...

Then again for what you plan on using it for, its not too bad.
