I've never used ready-seal, but I have learned you get what you pay for in deck stain:
I just re-stained my deck after using Behr premium plus stain last summer... that stuff just flaked off over the winter. So, I've pressure washed and this time went with Sherwin Williams with Cuprinol. It seems to be holding up much better than the Behr.
My neighbor is a distributor for Ready Seal...if it's the same stuff that we are referencing. He's used it on his deck, his fence, and the sand box that he's made for his kids. The structures look great and are holding up quite well. His deck is 9 y.o. and it's the only stuff that he's put on it. He took an old, worn piece of pressure-treated 2x4, cleaned and stained it as a demonstration for me. You could really see the stuff work into the wood.
I'm gonna use it on my gazebo when I get to that task on the "honey-do" list.
