AV123 people have said a few times that they are working on two sub models that match the Divas & Rockets in appearance (presumably under the Rocket brand).

Any news, ballpark dates, any other info?

    Hello Ted...
    The short reply is this...
We will have our small sub... from the new Rocket ELT-1 system (Extremely Luscious Theater) ready (if all goes well) in November... 10" / 200 watt very smart package at +/- $299... This will be a super product at price-to-performace ratios that should make everyone smile... [IMG]
There will be further annoucements in early 2003 about larger / more feature rich subs (also under the Rocket brand name) that will more closely match cosmetically the current Rocket line...
    Thanks... and all the best...
    mls

Thanks, Mark! That's great news -- the small one is what I'd probably want to pick up.
Do you have the exact dimensions yet -- I want to start re-arranging furniture ASAP [IMG]
    Thanks again,
    Ted

I take it you have compared this with the similarly sized, but $500, Axiom EP175? I'm wondering, how does it compare? What about vs. the other Axiom subs, or the Adire Rava? Like, how is it in comparison to the various favorites? What about the Sony SA-WM40 with a bit of Dynamat modded in it? I know you all might be a little biased, but *some* sort of news would be nice! Your thread bumping prowess has no effect on my ability to withhold information on the new sub from you [IMG]
...and no, I did not get the ICQ...been going to sleep as soon as I get home lately as I am pretty sick [IMG]
    I'll look tonight...
    Regards,
    Sean

Not quite done with the whole ELT package yet. We are gunning for having stock in time for Christmas but I can't promise anything. We will certainly try our best.

Our new web site will be coming online in the next two weeks or so. We will keep the news section updated with info on new products and timelines...

    Thanks,

    Sean

And how about any news regarding the (hopefully) upcoming HSUs, with the fancy-nancy Rosewood and Piano Laquer look (just like our Rockets and Divas)?
    Signed,
Currently subless and waiting on both fronts. [IMG]

Well, there have been some delays.
The new site is not online yet as the code for the real time freight quotes is proving a bit troublesome.
The sub is nearly finished but we are going to roll out the whole ELT line at the same time so it's not going to make it before the end of the year. Very sorry about this, but it's got to be right, it's got to be good.
It will be done when it's all that [IMG]
I will probably refrain from giving too specific a date in the future so no one gets mad :b

    Me, too, Sean! [IMG]
Odd that Hsu would go their own way, as their subs seem to have been given a facelift with direct reference to the Rocket/Diva aesthetic - god knows, those butt-ugly stumps needed one. And I bet they'd move a lot of subs with some combo deals with the Rockets.
But I'm also looking forward to the Rocket sub, and will certainly take a very close look at that one. It's just that the Hsu is already a known quantity, and I'm apparently gifted with the uncanny ability to delay gratification until all knowable quantities are finally known (I only purchased the Divas when they were almost gone, and I got the last C555ES at Oade Bros.).

I've shamelessly ripped my post from another forum here [IMG]
Here is what I can say:
I do not have any samples of the larger sub yet so I don't want to quote any specs until I can hear and measure it for myself. Here is what I can say: (subject to change)
This is the sub I nicked BDRS or Big Daddy Rocket Sub [IMG]
12" aluminum cone, front firing, sealed box
    Rocket Rosewood and Gloss Black
750W all digital amp with a FULL DSP front end
The amp is PC programable via USB. You can program up to FIVE different curves for the built-in three band parametric EQ. You can set a curve for different kinds of music, movies etc and you can do all this in REAL-TIME.
You can also set the NE, Q and Gain.
    and the larger one...
    Onix Reference Sub
Dual 12" alloy woofers with servo control
    1000W all digital amp
Same amp features as listed above
I can also say that a prototype of the "Rocket A" sub is in the sound room now. 10" / 500W / sealed design with parametric EQ ~$599. Rocket owners will get a discount.
It's a very "fast" sub (I know that's a misnomer)...Very articulate with tons of slam...matches the "speed" of the Rockets *perfectly*. I do expect similar performace of the larger subs...I am told it's FLAT to 27Hz from a 14" cube. I want to measure for myself in room before I confirm that but I do not doubt it from listening to it.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
No comment on Hsu's plans [IMG]
    Regards,
    Sean
