Any news on new Yamaha receivers this fall?

    Yes, we know Denon, Marantz, Sony, and Onkyo are releasing new line of receivers for this fall. How'about Yamaha? Any news on what'll be new and what feature will be added and when? Thanks.

    I emailed Yamaha earlier this year inquiring about DPL II and they said they had no plans at present to implement it. No idea when their new receivers might come out. I'd be interested to learn that myself too, though. By then it'll be too late and I'll have bought another brand! I was also hopefull that NAD would come out with new DPL II equipped receivers but thats not happening. No new receivers from NAD until 2002.

    Dropped RXV800 from their line-up
    dropped price of RXV1000 @$200
    Dropped price of RXV3000 (a while back)
    rumors of new flagship(rxv1 is out-dated)
    if this doesn't inspire curiosity I don't know what would!
