saw the DVD version last night . Bearing in mind that at 2.76:1 i'm not even getting 480 horizontal lines of resolution the picture quality was pretty good.
No where near as good as Ryan's Daughter though
I enjoyed the story. Trevor Howard stole the show.
You can see why this movie cost so much to make.
For any fan of this genre , or the film, the HD-DVD version is a must buy
