I was hoping someone had some info on when/if a dvd of Babylon 5 - Legend of the Rangers might be coming out. As far as I know, it's the last B5 property that has yet to arrive. I have this space just big enough to fit one disc between the B5 Movies collection and the Crusade collection.

One of the weakest movies of the bunch. But I too am waiting to complete the entire B5 collection. I hope they do plan to release it at some point.

Thought I'd revive this thread to see if anyone knows anything about LotR (not to be confused with Jackson's recent trilogy [IMG] ) coming to dvd anytime soon.

It was released in the UK on Monday the 24th, and it is schedueled to be released in Norway on Wednesday the 2nd. So for those with region 2 equipment there's not much waiting left.

Apparently they screwed it up for the R2 UK and released it 4:3 CROPPED. It was filmed 16:9, Shown on SciFi channel in WIDESCREEN and was COMPOSED for WIDESCREEN.

No Thank You. I'll hold out for a proper release.

Actuallt it is 16:9 widescreen with a DD 5.1 soundtrack.
No extras, but after what Warner did on the Crusades box, I am not surprised.

Yes. The problem was that Warner issued an incorrect press release. All the online shops used this information, not checking the disc. The cover says 1.77:1 Fullscreen and 2.0 soundtrack, so Warner clearly needs to spend a little more time on error checking.

So why wasn't this movie included with the B5 movie colleciton?

Because technically, it isn't a B5 movie. It was a pilot movie for a new series, that had one character in common with the original series.

Looks like we've got a R1 release date! Looking forward to finally getting this and completing my B5 collection. Thanks for the news Lord Gord! [IMG]

I really wish they'd had a chance to flesh out the story about "The Hand". An ancient race that might have been more powerful than the shadows (setting aside the extra dimensional race from Thirdspace) would've been fun to watch.
