Any news about a new Marantz pre-amp? (1 Viewer)

I am thinking about getting a new preamp. I currently preamp an A/V Receiver. I'm on the list for a Outlaw 950 but I really want to see what Marantz is going to do to replace the AV-9000.

Has anyone heard anything on this front?

Never know. They brought out new receivers last year but no DPL II or other stuff on the pre-amps so who knows what they'll do.

Heard rumors of an AV9200 a while back, but who knows now with the Denon/Marantz thing...

Did I read correctly somewhere that Denon isn't going to make preamp any more?

No, that is incorrect. As has been stated before, a Denon Rep on the avsforum stated that Denon is working on at least one pre/pro which may see the light of day at year's end. My guess is it'll probably be shown at next year's CES.
