Any hope for the hillarious cartoon series BOB AND MARGARET?

I loved this series when it was on television, and Paramount released six volumns of the show on VHS with Nelvana.

Some episodes never made it on to VHS.

Anyone think we'll ever see a DVD release of the complete series?

(I am sure it was not a great seller on VHS,
but as My So-Called Life proved, a boxed
DVD set of the complete seriess would sell
to the die-hard fan base who do not want to buy
any short-lived series in anything other than a complete set.)

Maybe if Columbia Tri-Star's The Critic sells
well enough (another show I am thrilled finally got a DVD release),
Paramount will notice these niche animated titles
are worthy of a decent DVD release.

    Here is hoping,

That's assuming Paramount still has the rights to Bob & Margaret. I have a feeling they probably expired some years ago and last I remember, Funimation snagged a big licensing deal with Nelvana and their properties for DVD release. It's my guess that Funimation now has control of the series' future on DVD.

I'd suggest contacting Nelvana directly to see if the title is planned for release. If they say something to the effect of "that's up to Funimation" due to the licensing agreement, then ask them who at Funimation you should talk to and go from there.

    UPDATE:

I keep seeing that Season 2 is coming to DVD in Canada. (If you check amazon.ca , you'll see it listed as available as of 09/27/2005.)

The bummer is, when I just went to order it today, it says it should be available in "5 to 8 weeks."

    What the heck?

I suspect that the season two rights are owned by Nelvana, so they can release those episodes, but not the first season.

This makes me happy because I haven't seen too much of season two's later episodes. Of season one, the only one I don't have on VHS is "Love's Labours Lost," when Bob seems to have a crush on Penny.

Anyone have a clue which Canadian retailers I could order season two from now?

I have tried dv-depot.com and amazon.ca and either they don't show it in stock, or don't list it at all.

    Any help....

I picked up the Season 2 DVD release of Bob & Margaret release through Amazon.ca, has there been any word on releases of further seasons?
