I have a friend who is trying to sell me a brand new plasma listed above for $3,500 (with manufacturers warranty)...I can not find many reviews on this plasma, but the ones I have found (though not the most reputible/known sites), have been great reviews. Does anyone have any information on this plasma, or any comments that they can give. Is it HDTV compatible? Is this a good purchase (this would be my first plasma)…

It's an ALiS panel, which has an interlaced resolution of 1024x1024. I'm not a big fan of ALiS panels, but I do admit, they are bright. Don't let my viewing preferences steer you away from it though.

Here are the specs on it:

It appears to not have DVI. Seems to come in charcoal (the H model) and Silver (the S model).

You can find it new, online from $3329.99 and above.

It is HD compatible, but it cannot fully resolve any HD signal. It will scale 720p (1280x720) and 1080i (1920x1080) down to it's native resolution.
