As the title says, any fans? Man, I just got a CD by them last weekend and I was blown away by how kick @ss this band is; they can freaking jam on. I bought The Deep End Vol 1 and several days later I bought their self titled one. Boy does Vol. 1 kick @ss, and as a tribute to their late Bass player they used 13 diffrent bass players for the 13 diffrent tracks, and they all blend together great. Their self titled CD is pretty awesome too but right now Vol. 1 has been getting some serious play in by CD player. I was just searching amazon and listened to the few sample they have, glad I found them, now I just have to wait until they come over to the West Coast.

Buy Deep End Vol. 2 you will not be disappointed. I have seen Govt. Mule quite a few times and also Warren Haynes solo and also playing with Phil and Friends. Not to mention Allman Brothers Band which was my 1st exposure to him. In the past 4 months or so he has played with The Other Ones fall tour and NYE, Bob Weir and Friends and himself at the Warren Haynes Christmas Jam. He is just about the busiest guitar player around.

I have never even heard of him or any of those names until I recently started searching amazon for new music groups. I have 1 Allman Brothers CD but I just figured the rest of the band retired(foolish thinking to say the least) after the band broke up.

I bought one of thier discs a few years ago and honestly I wasn't all that impressed(I can't remember the title at the moment). However, I did see them live opening up for Big Sugar and it was an awesome show. All three members were amazing musicians.
I would also recomend any Govt Mule fans pick up the Hound Dog Taylor tribute disc, they do a great job of Gonna Send You Back To Georgia. The whole disc is full of Hound Dog covers that any blues fan would love.
They are also on the Robert Johnson DVD. I think they do If I Had Possession Over Judgment Day, and they do it well.

Regards

Deep End Vol. 2 has seen some heavy action in my systems over the past few months. Fine album and a good recording, too...

This band is the best power trio around today, thier studio cds do not do them justice, go see them live, not only is Warren Haynes a terriffic player but if there is a better rock drummer around today then Matt Abts I dont know who it is. I have been a fan since they started, just saw thier recent tour last month and will continue to see them any chance I get, as I said catch them live you will not be disapointed.:emoji_thumbsup:
