I've had my LG 75UH8500 for a while now, and know about the "PC Mode" you can 'unlock' simply by changing the input's icon to the PC graphic instead of the others. Admittedly I don't know a whole lot about what this mode does, but one reason I found to use it was that it will at least let me watch 480p sources (such as my DVD recorder, which I use for transferring old tapes) with no overscan. Otherwise, my TV forces a bit of overscan on 480 sources and there's nothing I can do to get around that.

Is there any reason why I SHOULDN'T keep my TV in PC mode though? I noticed the resolutions are displayed differently (for example 1080p is shown as "1920 x 1080") and it won't allow me to turn on 'motion smoothing' even though that has no place in serious viewing anyways.
