I was just checking out the latest reviews of the 797...The last author (Robert) claims there were some faulty chips placed in 1802, 2802, and 797 models that caused audio dropouts on some of the latest DVDs:

    Is this true?

I can still take my onkyo back. I wonder if I should. I do not want this to be a problem with a lot of the new movies coming out.

Denon told me that the 2802 is OK. The 1602 and 1802 has the issue.

I turned cinema re-eq off and still had the problem. I guess JP3 and PH will have to be played in DTS. This does not make me happy. This reciever is brand new. If Onkyo drops the ball it could be real bad for people who have their receivers. Hopefully this will not happen.
