I'd really like to get Serial Experiments Lain, but I can't find it for less than $80 anywhere. This seems rather pricey for 13 half hour episodes. Any chance of a significant price drop anytime soon?

I just picked it up from FYE.com for about $72 using the 30% off coupon, but I don't think the deal is around any more.

There is a licensed-from-Pioneer set that I think comes from Singapore on the Odex label and is not only R0 and NTSC format but significantly cheaper, though it doesn't have all the extras that the US set has. Review here: http://www.digitallyobsessed.com/sho...w.php3?ID=3595

I don't know of a good US source offhand, though.

By way of your review Mark, I actually found the url to the company on animeondvd's pages for the company:

    http://www.odex.com.sg/

They have a buy link which forwards you to a yahoo type store ( http://store.yahoo.com/popular-sg/ ), which sells it for about 80 Singapore dollars, which work out to be very affordable for me. I must say I am very tempted already. Have anyone here used the store in question?

You can also try Half.com. I've bought DVDs there many times....
