Is the current non-anamorphic HBO disc worth picking up?

Will we see another version of this film on the current format?

Considering what the film's star did, I sincerely doubt that any film studio would be pushing a new version of this.

Just like with the recent murder/suicide committed by wrestler Chris Benoit, in which WWE pulled the box set with his best of matches, now is not the time to revisit A BRONX TALE.

Ironically, all Savoy films released thru HBO DVD (EXIT TO EDEN, LAST OF THE DOGMAN, NO ESCAPE, CIRCLE OF FRIENDS, SERIAL MOM etc) are all OOP. Weird, for Savoy Pictures is a part of HBO.

Savoy is not technically an arm of HBO, they merely made the initial deal to handle their films on DVD. Although as I think about it, maybe they contributed some start-up money to the short-lived company.

I suppose when Savoy went bankrupt, their movies went into limbo, apart from the then-unreleased films that were sold off to New Line (HEAVEN'S PRISONERS, THE STUPIDS, THIN LINE BETWEEN LOVE AND HATE, FAITHFUL). So maybe the trust that owns this package is looking for a new buyer?
