I would like to see the 1969 John Sturges film Marooned released on Blu Ray.
Doesn’t Sony own this film?
Does anyone know if Sony has any plans to release Marooned on Blu Ray?
Or liscence it to another company such as Kino Lorber, Criterion, Shout, etc?
Thanks!

Well, an HD master exists, and you can buy or rent it on Amazon Prime, so the possibility of a Blu-Ray release seems more likely. I can see Shout! Factory take this movie, as they've released on Blu a number of movies that appeared on Mystery Science Theater 3000 like this one.

It's now available from Imprint as a region-free Blu-Ray. I don't think it looks too exceptional but it's nice to have it in this format at last, and it has a commentary track I'll be listening to.

Well regarding the commentary track by Bryan Reesman, I have this to say. Don't quit your day job and think you're competent to describe in two minutes the blacklist era while talking about Lee Grant because you'd get an F for the level of shallow ignorance you demonstrate.

But even leaving that out, Reesman talks way too fast and tries to cram in too much IMDB style trivia about everyone in the cast and production. Not worth a second listen.
