Does anybody here grow bromeliads? If so, I've got some questions as I try my first few.

i bought my girlfriend one almost a year ago. she sat it out on the back porch and to be honest, i've never seen her water or do anything to it but it seems to thrive. there are now 3 bromeliads in the pot now (only 1 originally). of course, she has a green thumb so i'm sure she is taking care of it. what are your questions, i'll ask her if she knows anything that might help.
