I've been playing Halo, and while I will admit the graphics/sound are outstanding, I was just thinking how cool it would be if it were more like Goldeneye 007, where you had to figure things out more, instead of just shooting things.

When's the first good Goldeneye-type game due? Thanks

Not sure how close to Goldeneye it is, but the new Bond game Agent Under Fire is coming to the Xbox next year. It's supposed to be a combination first-person-shooter and driving game, and is coming out Spring 2002.
Here's the link, if you're interested.

Agent Under Fire is just like Goldeneye, minus all originality and fun. I swear, Bond even sounds like an American in this game! The best part about the game is that the menus are really nice. Otherwise it sucks like a bucket of ticks.

That maybe going to far in terms of Agent Under Fire-having played the PS2 version, I can tell you it is pretty average FPS stuff, except the driving levels, which are surprisngly good, but brisk.

It isn't Bond, but I would highly suggest No One Lives Forever when it hits the PS2 in Feb. It's kinda like Emma Peel starring in Thunderball, with a hefty dose of Austin Powers. [IMG]

I have to agree with the lackluster opinions people have had about the latest Bond game that came out for the PS2.

Agent Under Fire, right? I took it back after playing for about 2 or 3 hours. For whatever reason, I found it to be really shallow. Couldn't get into it at all. Graphics were okay. Sound, okay.

It's definitely a renter instead of a buyer.
