I get to take a trip to Tokyo for a conference, and I'll have about a day and a half at the end to look around the city. I was thinking about maybe trying to pick up a digital camera while I'm there. Are there a lot of knock offs (like buying a "Rolex" on the streets of New York), or is most of the stuff real and just cheap because they make it there? I will certainly be careful and not go throwing away a whole lot of money, but if there is a possibility of picking up a decent camera for half the US price, I'd like to consider it.

    Thanks,
    Jonathan

I never really saw any deals when I lived there. Everything just seemed more expensive than in the US. But, there are a lot of cool electronic things to check out.
