Can anybody help me know what sort of realistic pricing to expect on the MCA amps?

A quick call got the following MRSP prices:

    MCA 20 - $1499
    MCA 30 - $1799
    MCA 50 - #2999

    Thanks,
    Martin.

Are these prices in US or Canadian?

Slight misunderstanding: I want to know what prices I'm likely to be able to haggle the dealer down to, in the Toronto area, in CDN dollars (I live here).

    Thanks,
    Martin.

Why not go to a dealer and see what you can get?

I'd rather go to the dealer armed with the knowledge of what's reasonable. It's much easier to negotiate when you know what others have achieved.

    Martin,
Are you looking at 2/3/5 channels of amplification? Have you look into Rotel? I picked up a Rotel RMB-1066 for $850CDN. This little beast gives you many configurations(6x60, 5x70..3x150). Checkout the review of the unit it replaced. From what I heard its the same unit but with upgraded circuitry.

    Kevin,

Thanks for the suggetion. I'm looking for 200Wpc+ in any of the 2, 3, or 5 channel combinations. The Rotel looks like a great buy, though.

I think I'll be shopping around for used amplification. Any other suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Martin.
