No it is veneered 1.25" MDF.
The cabinet is made from MDF then wood veneer is applied over the MDF using contact cement.
Cut and trimmed , sanded cleaned then stain applied, last cleaned and Poly added sanding in between coats.5 coats in total.
Veneer I get from a few suppliers.

Is one of the best in the USA to deal with .Even shipping to Canada from them is not bad.

Joe.
I build cabinets first with a brad nailer using 1.25" brads for 3/4" MDF and 2.25 for MDF from 1" to 1.5".
Then after a quick trim with a flush trim bit I then switch the router to a 3/4" or 1" round over bit. This make for a veneer wrap easy.
The seam on this cabinet is on the bottom.
