When you calibrate the sound levels of your speakers do you point the SPL meter at each speaker as you adjust the volume or do you just leave the SPL meter in one position.
One more thing :) what does everyone use to calibrate the Surround Back levels, Avia only has Tones for 5.1 not 7.1 right?

Ken,
When calibrating with a sound meter you'll get more accurate readings if you mount the meter on a camera tripod and place it in your listening position at ear level. Point the meter straight up towards the cieling also. Basically, the meter should remain still at all times as moving it around will have an affect on the readings.
No, AVIA doesn't have test tones for a 7.1 set up. :)
