A recent thread on Mortal Kombat made me remember an interesting video game setup that would suit me better than a regular arcade cabinet..

It was basically a huge 36" TV Screen, with two speakers on the side. The Screen was attached to a stand, wich jutted out to a control panel for 1-4 players.

Does anyone have a decent picture of this? It would eliminate the need for a regular video game monitor, and might be a bit of a space saver, depending on what size TV you get for it.

    thanks

It's probably a custom implementation of a SuperGun, a device for playing JAMMA games on a regular TV

Perhaps. I also have a solderd little board connected to the Jamma connection that gives you a TV out only. Hence why I was thinking that this would be a better setup than having to deal with a rather deadly arcade monitor [IMG].
At least the TV is in a safe casing, wich would help prevent accidents a bit more.
